After cleaning the intake side of the head I notice oil streaks ( not serious)from what I take are head bolts (torx?). Can these be tightened individually or should the valve cover beee removed and all of them done in sequence.
If so what's the sequence? Is it really a torx bit? ------------------ 1991 350 SDL 114,000 miles [This message has been edited by Chris Haney (edited 06-06-2000).] |

The bolts are SPLINE bolts & special socket is to be used. However retorquing of cylinder bolts are VERBOTEN due to the fact they are stretch bolts (torque to yield).

Way back when, when I worked on Detroit Diesels, they had the same saying as Harley - if it ain't leaking oil, something's wrong.
