rear hatch struts
 

replacing rear hatch and have some new struts I'd like to put in. Once I have the hatch off what is the easiest way to get to the front strut mount points,I'm sure I can figure it out but if someone has been there before I'd love to know the path of least resistance.

Sorry,its a 1984 300td wagon,I actually switched hatches allready and the old struts wont hold up the new hatch...I guess all the rust in the old one lightened it up a bit...anyway hatch removal and the wiper wiring is no problem,those struts though....I know there connected to something in there.....
