300E Heated Front Seats
 

Hello,
As always your help is greatly appreciated. I purchased a 1993 300E about 4 years ago and the heated seats never worked. The lights on the console come on when i push the button but the seats never heat up. I replaced both fuses and would like any information that could help me. I am guessing either the relay is bad or both seat heaters are no good. Any help would be appreceated. Thanks in advance!!

I'm in the middle of diagnosing my heated seat problem. I can only get the driver's side to heat on Stage I, not Stage II. Passenger side used to work, but now doesn't heat on either setting. I just recently read through the shop manual information.

Check the wiring under the seat. Make sure connections are tight, and that there's continuity in the heating elements. After everything checks out, the problem may be a bad module.
