I am replacing the Timing Chain on my wifes '87 420 SEL and would appriciate any tips to make this as painless as possible. I have allready started the teardown while waiting for my parts to arrive. Thanks in advance for your help.

Bob,
Try a search on timing chains. Also the May/June issue of the Star has some great photos and advice on the dreaded chain woes. Good Luck!
