Hi All, I have an 87 190e 2.3 and have noticed a loud ticking sound coming from the vave cover. It goes away at 2000 rpm. How can I tell which valve is the culprit?
Also the dreaded climate control!! Blows hot air out the side vents all the time. Is there a way to test the pushbutton unit before just purchasing a new one? Last summer it stopped working when the aux water pump died- so I extracted the pump but it still did not work properly. Is it possible that the malfunctioning pump killed the pushbutton unit? Thanks in advance!! Charles Markham 1987 190E 2.3 70k |
