Two questions concerning a 1999 ML 320 brake pad replacement. 1) Will replacing the pads be routine? Any special tools required? 2) How does the low brake pad indicator on dash work. It has flashed on and off several times but does not stay on.On other models they have a sensor that once it is set off needs to be replaced.I don t believe this is the same system. Thanks for any tips. Mark

I would do a visual inspection of the brake pads. You might be able to get up to 3k miles out of that set of pads. As you read this, the light might be coming on a little more often. Changing the pads requires only some simple tools and a #40 torx bit.
