W140 99 S500 Asr?

I noticed just recently the green lite on the console switch for the asr was not on. You can press the swith and the lite come on in the dash indicating that it has been turned off. The asr does not work now even when I turn the switch back to on. No green lite no work. I checked the fuses and they were ok. Can someone tell me if they have had any problems with their asr like this? Can someone tell me where the asr plugs in? I am wondering if maybe the ground is not working therefor disarming the asr. Thanks in advance... I hydroplaned yesterday several times and nearly lost my water........!!!!

ASR = antislip regulation. It only works on accell.

ESP = electronic stability program. Works all the time.

Being that this is handled via ME2 and ABS and the accelerator is not in limp, the system should be fine.
