High pitch squel from cold start on 94 E320
In the mornings when my 94 E320 is first started, there is a high pitch squel under the hood. After a couple of minutes, the squel goes away. Does anyone have an idea of what I have to look out for? Thanks.

Loose or wet serpentine belt?

possibly the air pump.

I had a piercing loud squeal that would stop after a few seconds. It was coolant from a leaking water pump splashing on the belt whenever I came to a stop.

The belt tensioner may need adjusting or replacing. Mine had the exact same symptoms.
