hi i just got a new key w. trans. for a 97 w140 the key works but the remote doesnt how can i program it???

You may need the dealer to program it. The way to do it if it will is unlock and then point and click. It should work.

with key, aim at infrared reciver, press button on key twice. within 30 seconds insert key in ignition to position 2. wait one to two min. now it should be programed.
