Ghost Wipers
 

Hi, y'all. Hope you had a stuffing of good food yesterday.

Another problem cropped up this morning on the W202 C230.
The wipers won't stop.

I turned them on for a while and then after I parked, I turned the wipers off and they kept going. I had to shut off the engine to make them stop.

The wipers change speed to the top speed at position III correctly, but when switched to the '0' position it keeps going, and the intermittent position doesn't work anymore - it just keeps going.

(I don't have rain sensing wipers!)

Any ideas?

Ok, it appears that the wiper relay is the most likely culprit.
Any idea where the wiper relay is located on the W202 C class?

I believe it's called the combination relay on the 202. It's in the rear of the fusebox (under the flat panel behind the fuses).
What makes you sure it's the relay though?
