The reason I think it's the pump or something else serious is because the day the car died it was making a terrible rattling sound, and now when it's running no rattle.
Ok, today I took the oil filter out of the housing and cranked the engine over and no oil came up in the housing.
I also put a new oil filter in, started the car and let it run for about 15 seconds then checked the new filter, and it had no oil on it.
For some reason it seems like I'm not getting any oil circulating through the engine at all.

So, how much am I looking at spending for someone to take the timing cover off, and look at the oil pump and anything else that could be bad?
