After reading a lot of posts about overheating (my car does it too) I desided to check the main fan. I could spin it easily. I gues that means that the fan clutch is bad/loose.
How can this be fixed? Can i do it myself? Also I think the axulary fans (two of them in front of the radiator) turn on at the tempreture above 110 or when the a/c is on. Shouldn't they turn on erlier than that? How can I ajust this seting? Thanks as always Dmitry 90' 300CE |
Your aux fans have two speeds, the low needs to be checked. Start with the fuses.
The fan clutch requires specail tools. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1991 GMC Syclone ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
