W126 300SDL - odd window switch lighting
 

For the longest time I've put off dealing with a front passenger window switch that doesn't light when the rest of the lights are on. Just tonight I noticed that that switch is illuminated when the key is on and the light switch is off! What gives? The windows work as they should. Any ideas what to check?

Don't have an answer, but I have had a similar problem. ALL of my window switch lights come on, and blink, when I hit the brake, even with the headlights off. There has to be a stray source short or bad ground somewhere which could explain both problems, but not sure where to start.
