M103 = Oil Pressure Switch Location

Hi there, does anyone know the Oil Pressure Switch is located on the M103 engine?

I think is the sensor just above the drain plug.
(it could also be the low level indicator, not sure)

The sender for the oil pressure gauge is on the filter housing.

It has an oil pressure gauge (sp?). Look for the one with '1 2 3' on it. That's oil pressure in atmospheres. When the oil is hot and you're stopped at a light, the oil pressure will dip to '1'. As long as it comes back up once you start driving, it's OK.

Thanks for the replies.

I think what I need is the Oil Level Sensor. The instrument "Low Oil Level" light would always light up after a spirited drive. Will try to change that to see if that'll solve the problem.

It's actually the oil pressure in "bar". One bar is equal to about 14.5 psi, which is a little less than one standard atmosphere of 14.7 psi.

It is not necessarily abnormal for the level indicator to illuminate after a "spirited driving", especially if the level is a bit low.

Get the oil level to the full mark and see if it occurs.

Duke, it happens even though the oil level is full. I'll see what happens after i rebuild the engine. Thanks.
