I have a MB 190e 2.6 (auto).
The vehicle does not want to start very easily in the morning or after the car has sat for a day or longer. I turn on the ignition and wait (to let the fuel pump pressurize).... but it just seems to really have trouble getting going. Is there a "cold temp." sensor or?? Any ideas? Also.... where can one go to find a repair manual for an 89? Haynes only has up to 88 that I have found/seen. Thanks to all who take time to post |
Check your Overvoltage protection relay. Either the fuse on top or the relay itself can drop power to the KE-Jet system.
The fuel system works well without electric controls when warm but lacks the ability to do its largest compensation: starting enrichment and its second largest compensation: cold enrichment. |
