central locking system------1973/450sl

I am experiencing problems with my door and gas flap locks. The drivers door no longer locks the passenger door or gas flap.I used a mighty vac and found two lines that won't hold vacuum. One in the drivers door and the other from a Y connection just behind the trunk below the hardtop area. The vacuum lines run through the door and then disappear ending at a grommet just by the firewall/fender. I don't want to pull the line as I can't tell its routing. HELLLLLPP! thanks .PS does anyone have a vacuum schematic?

The drivers door has a MASTER supply valve that distributes vacuum from the engine (& vacuum storage tank) to the right front door, trunk, & gas flap.
There is yellow/red lines to lock & yellow/green to unlock.

The source vacuum line is yellow. MOST common failure is the vacuum elements leaking(rubber diaphrams).
The elements have constant pressure OR vacuum so 30+ years and you will need new ones.

central locking system ! FIXED !!

I ordered a trunk, passenger ,gas flap vacuum element and a check valve from Fastlane on 12/23/03 and they arrived on 12/24/03. I replaced the passenger door ,trunk element and check valve. The gas flap does not fit my car. The locks ,trunk and gas flap work like a charm. Thanks for all your help. This site is great and you probably saved me about $200 in diagnostic fees alone.
