380 SEL 1982 CIS or EFI?

I was wondering if my 1982 W126 has EFI or Bosch CIS? If it doesn't have EFI, what are the options for converting it and would the potential gains in fuel economy and power be worth it?

Nicholas

CIS - K-Jetronic.

Replace with EFI? You'll spend more than you'll save in fuel. It'll cost you less to get a 300SD for commuting and keep the 380SEL for leisure driving.

argh, they mixed Holden (GM) parts with a merc engine!!!

I wouldn't bother, the cost far outweigh the needs. Anyway, the CIS system is very reliable.
