We would like to convert our 98 SL500 from Xeon Lamps to Conventional lamps. Has anyone done this before?
Is this a straight swap out or will it require a different wiring harness? Thanks in advance. |

Just our of curiosity what is your gripe with the Xenon HID lamps? Never heard of anyone wanting to go the other way before.
Are you switching the orthopedic leather seats to nail in some wooden bench seats? j/k Lee |

Since LEE already asked, I will skip that part.
As for your answer, YES, it's simply swap, plug 'n play.... Andy Kuo ------------------

Thanks for the info!! What can say, its just one of things. I prefer the conventional lights better.
As for selling them, that is the plan. Once they are swapped out and I am 100% sure this is the route I want to take, I will post a message on the swap board. Thanks again! ------------------ 1990 300CE-24 1995 Jeep Wrangler 1995 Ford Thunderbird |

I don't like the Xenon lights either. There is no doubt that they are highly effective but they look terrible from outside the car.

But isn't "Effective" is the point here?? I have wanted to put Xenon on my S-Class for a long time because of the brightness of the Xenon. It makes that alot safer driving in the night....
