tensioner problems

been having problems since thursday in trying to install the tensioner. when i try and tighten it it just cicks like it is stripped. before the thing would just fall rigth through the hole and now there is a washer there preventing it from doing that. anything i am missing, is there a trick to doing this? thanx guys

Are ya sure you have it lined up properly.

P.S.
I'd like to pay S/H for your old broken one. I'm working on a jig to bypass having to pay $250 + for one. Let me know if you still have it and would be willing to let it go
