96 E320 Rear view mirror
 

I just get a 96 E320 (w210 chassis) and the rearview mirror is lose (does not saty in position)

Some one told me that this mirror has the remote transponder and if I take it appart it will shut the remote. The mirror and remote is in excelent condition and it is shame topay $ 700 to replace it.

Any idea of how to take it appart and fix the spring.
