Help! Euro Headlight Vacuum - 1989 420 SEL

I'm trying to hook-up the european headlight vacuum system on a 1989 420 SEL. I'm not sure how to hook-up part number 126 800 10 78, a vaccum valve that is supposed to be located just prior to the dashboard height adjustment switch, on the vacuum supply side. The part has 4 nozzles on it, numbered 1 to 4, and #4 has a yellow dot. Which nozzle should be connected to the dashboard valve and which nozzle to the vacuum supply? What are the other 2 nozzles used for?

Thanks,
Joe

The economy gauge on the instrument cluster is a popular place to get the vacuum source by installing a T on the line connected to the gauge

Nice Diagram

That's a nice diagram. Part number 2, is the 126 800 10 78 part. Each of the nozzles has a number from 1 to 4. Which hose gets connected to which nozzle? On one side the nozzles are #1 and #2, and on the other side they are #3 and #4. On one side, there is an arrow pointing from nozzle 2 to 4 on the tube between nozzle 2 and and 4.

Which hose goes to which nozzle?

Someone out there must have installed the vacuum lines for euro headlights on a 126. Can you please tell me which hose goes to which nozzle?

If nobody knows, do you think I should just put the part #2 nozzle with the yellow dot, which is nozzle #4 to the dashboard switch yellow dot nozzle? and assume the nozzle on the opposite side of yellow dot, nozzle #2 connects to the vacuum supply?

Should the arrow point towards the dashboard switch or should it point towards the vacuum supply. If it is installed as mentioned in paragraph 2 above, the arrow points towards the dashboard switch.

Below are pics of part #2, side 1, note the arrow, from nozzle 2 to nozzle 4
