I Am Chasing a Ghost

I am chasing a ghost in a 1996 E320. The car has a 300ma draw. When I unplug power plug to passenger front seat module the draw is gone. When I unplug the 4 plugs in the back of the module (they go to the individual seat adjusters) the draw gets less with each 1 removed (until its gone). I replaced the module with a new 1 from Mercedes. And still have the problem. Also if I plug in the power plug with out turning anything on the draw is only 100ma. I had the same problem 2 months ago and the module fixed the problem for about 6 or 7 weeks. What in the seat could be causing a draw? If I unplug the connectors to the motors themselves it changes nothing. Also after I turn on the key or open the door (with the 100ma draw) I get my 300ma back. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Also I need to mention if the car sits for more than 3 days the battery goes dead. But I bet you new that.
Thanks, Mike

Dumb question time, are you checking this with the door open? The convience feature setup on this car allows the ESA's to wake up with a open door. Either depress or remove the door switch under the latch catch and look again after the domelamp has timed out.

Switches jammed closed I should have mentioned that.

I'm assuming the seat works as well.... after the dome lamp has timed out.

if so, send me a e-mail and I'll look into the SI's about the ESA shutting down.
