Euro Lights- Painting panels
I finally got the go-ahead from my wife and I'm gonna get euro lights.
I was wondering the best way to paint the panels below the lights- should i get them professionally done by a body shop, or just do it myself? I see other posts recommending towerpaint for a good match, but can you buy matched paint directly from the dealership? (i have one close-by), or Auto zone, NAPA, etc? That way I could have my paint quicker (and cheaper!) My car's paint code is 040 (black) |
Been there, done that.
Any good auto paint paint can make a spray can of your exact paint color for about $12.00 A good smooth sanding job, spray, let dry, you're done. Total cost: less than $15.00 Jackd |
I am debating this same thing right now. Jackd, I will assume you meant "auto paint shop". My only problem is the temp's in my area are way too cold to spray right now (unheated garage), so I'm probably be taking the panels to a body shop. Auto Zone definetely can not match my color (artic white), and their paint selection is quite poor. I was told pep boys and aid auto have much better selections, but have yet to go to one to find out. chazola, if temp's permit in your area, I would definetely follow jackd's advice. A body shop will charge about $50 to spray the panels (if your lucky). good luck.
