I just bought a 86 300E for my daughter. Have sorted out many small problems. When I open the door the warning buzzer sounds until the door is closed. Warning buzzer does not work when the lights or key are left in the ignition. Any thoughts? Or does the 124 work differently than my 126's. I have ordered some schematics but have not received them yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Most of the time, it is a faulty waring module. It is located behind the instrument cluster.

about the warning buzzer....


Is there a way I can disconnect this buzzer?...it has an annoying unpleasant sound. Or is there a way I can change the buzzer to a soft chime, ie, chimes in a honda, or nissan?...thanks
