Euro Lights- disconnecting wipers question

my euro lights are arriving next week and I've been doing some searching regarding installation. I'm removing the wipers and just going with the blank panel.

I can't seem to find anything about disconnecting the headlight wiper hoses though- do I need to plug the hose connection at the washer fluid resevior so I dont loose fluid out of it? Or just disconnect the electrical connectors with the wiper/motor assembly?

There are two pump/motors under the washer fluid reservoir. I disconnected the motor that feeds the headlight wiper/washers.

You might cap the lines so they stay clean in case you want functioning washers again.

I simply made brackets to mount the wiper motors to the euro lights such that they will fit through the original US wiper position in the panel. I posted dimensions and detailed instructions at the time, you can do a search if you're interested.

It all worked out quite well.

Good luck,

New Wiper Arms

Since you are in a cold climate you might consider switching to the wiper arms of the 94-95 W124 E cars these had "Euro" wipers. you will have to drill holes in the new blank trim panel or get the trim from a 94-95 W124 with wipers at the dealer.

Katmac-

I take it you're the same Katmac I'm buying my euro's from... :-)

I'm in two minds whether to keep wipers or not, I like the benefit in crappy weather but I also like the clean lines you get from no wipers.

The euro wipers look better than the US versions, but I'm on a budget so buying all new wipers isn't really a top priority.

I'll take Larry's suggestion into consideration and see how easy it is to hook up my old wipers with the new lights.

Sounds good let me know how it turns out
