190 auto 1986 3rd&4thgear not engageing
 

hi, i have a 190 auto on a c plate. 2 days ago, while driving, i stopped at a shop and when i came to drive away, only the first and second gear will go in.Third and forth just dont want to know. Can anyone help me?:( :( :confused: :confused:

I am no expert so take what I say with a grain of salt, but when was the last time you changed the fluid and the filter? MB trannies are notorious for acting up if not given its regular service on schedule!!! Does the tranny have fluid? You do not have a fluid leak?

I would start off with this and see what happens? Also, are all the connections hooked up? I believe that the car should have a vacuum line to the tranny, is this still hooked up no craks or leaks? How is the engine running?
