Suspension rebuild tonight

About to make a start on replacing the springs on my 91 300D
got the correct spring compressor and such like and the trusty Haynes manual.

Problem is the manual says about upper suspension mountings. is this the large nuts in the middle of the sus mount in the engine hood or the little ones around the big nuts?

is there any other tips that you guys can give me as this is gonna take me all night to do. along with a blown exhaust repair!

any help will be great

cheers

Alright mate- it snowing in liverpool yet? bloody freezing here.

other techs will have more tips than me, but I believe the big bolt in the middle is for the top of the shock absorber itself, and the 3 smaller ones are for the shock mount, bolted to the car body.
