1986 560sl interior temp sensor
 

My interior temp sensor broke today. I am not sure what happend but it simply stopped working. The needle is all the way to the left and will not budge. It has worked effortlessly through the years.

Is there a fuse that could have gone? If not, what can I do to get this thing working again..the small things bug me so I MUST fix.

The problem is on my 86 560sl.

Rob, I assume you mean the round dial between the dash vents that shows outside temp.
I'm no great expert, since mine hasn't broken (yet!;)), but I do know the sensor for that is behind the front license plate area of the front bumper. A start would be to check for broken wiring from it into the engine bay.
