Immediete help needed- recall information
Other than NHTSA (no help with this) does anyone know how to find out if a car that has been recalled in the past has been repaired? NHTSA used to provide this, but no longer. Sometimes you can contact the dealer, but no luck here either. This is about my mothers car (Not a mercedes
), but a 1997 Oldsmobile. There was a recent major recall from GM for 98-01- compact cars. However- I have seen that the 96-97s had the same recall last year, but her car falls in this new one- as it was made in 3/97, which is supposed to be an effected car. My grandpa had the car during the last recall, but received NOTHING from GM about this- do we will probably not hear anything this time either. Last evening I found a site that shows you that, but it needed VIN #, which I did not have at the time. I have it tonight, but I cannot find the site. Even when I go to "history" from yesterday I cannot find it. Any help appreciated.
