power windows and mrrors remain dysfunctional after battery replaced.

My 99 320E had its original battery fail and every thing went crazy. I could start the car and drive but the Alarm could not turn off. No window controls, no seats,no keyless entry, weak wipers and slow turn signals.. A new battery has miraculously cured most of the quirks. However so far the four console window switches wont work ,power mirrors also out. However the windows can be raised and lowered with the remote key. Fuses appear ok. will see if mirror moves like it used to in reverse.
I searched this several ways for the past hour but it sounds like this all goes through some central computer. Will it reset itself or could the low voltage damage a control module. The four switches would not all go out at once!

On 1998 & later E-class cars like yours the window switch is a COMPUTER! The power supply is in the fuse box under the seat by the "new" battery, check the fuse for power.

You also have to reprogram the windows and headrests after the power is disconnected. Procedure is in the owner's manual.

Thanks for the replies. 99 E320
I inspected and tested all of the numbered fuses under the seat like you suggested. No luck. Another thing happened today. The keyless entry and central locking went away this am at work but this evening at home it worked again.Still no window controls to all 4 windows except from keyless feature and no mirror controls. Could another central controller need reset or replacing. Actually the "new " battery is about a year old but is out of my 1990 300E that is in project stage right now. same size and rating with proper vent hose for gasses. Any other ideas.
