Any advice on going about trouble shooting the rear wiper on this car? It hasn't worked since I bought it. The washer fluid doesn't squirt either. Thanks

You should always check fuses first. After that you will need the electrical manual and a meter to check for voltages.

We sell the CD that has that information in it in Partsshop.

I just diagnosed mine today using the electronic service manual. I printed out page 161 which has the electrical schematic for the system. I wanted to test the voltages at the N13 (Interval Wiper Relay) first. At first I could not find it. I referred back to the manual and looked at the pictures where it should be. It shows it on the left side of the hatch to the left of the locking mechanism. Turns out, I had no relay; it was removed. I will need to start by spending the $80+ for a new relay.
Will keep all posted!

msyoder,

In a very recent thread we had a discusion about all the trouble you could have with the rear panel door of a W 124. One of these threads I recall
was tittled "Central locking dead 300TE". The second thread was mentioned to in the first - if I remember well...Try a search on the W 124 T.
Good luck,

Danny

Maybe different on my car--a w124 E320 1995--but I found the rear panel is exceptionally easy to remove and everything is relatively easy to get at--Another idea of why your wiper has a problem is this--does yours have the automatically engaging feature when you back up and the front wiper is on it automatically turns on the rear? If this circuit has failed it may not be possible to turn on from the front.

All the W 124 T's have that feature as far as I know.
