Hi,
can anyone tell me if it matters which way round the wires go that connect to the fan clutch?

Wires to the fan clutch? The fan clutch is purely mechanical. The electric fan ahead of the radiator should spin in the direction that pushes air through the radiator.

Sixto,

I believe the 2.3 16v is an electromagnetic, rather than a viscous clutch. Wire position technically shouldn't matter on the electromagnet. Could be wrong, but moderately sure.

cool, cheers, i dont think it matters either, basically, the wiring and connectors were damaged, so having to make new ones up, there is no numbering on the fan clutch or groves so a connector can only go one way, so im assuming it dont matter, fingers crossed!
