94 SL600 hydraulic suspension question

Hi guys,

Currently I am faced with a situation on a 94 SL600 where there is oil leak from the hydraulic distributor block for the sports suspension, and also one of the hydraulic pump motors near the front shock is also leaking. Leaking is servere and require all new parts replacement. Total looking at around $2133 including labor.

The owner of the car does not use the sports suspension at all, nor does she care to have the function at all.

Is it possible to tear out the entire sports suspension option and to eliminate all the components all together? Since other parts may start leaking soon, and each one of those hydraulic motor things are like $900 each.
