Question 1993/ W201::::: transmission question

So yeah, my car has been riding well for a while now, but this past weekend I was going to the store and all of the sudden I noticed lack of power when I pressed on the gas at a stop sign.

well I kept going for almost a mile until I stopped at another stop sign...and thats when it happend I pressed on the gas and the car came to a complete stop.....so I put it in Reverse and it went in reverse, but not in (drive)....

I had the a transmission installed like a year ago..

do you think its the (torque converter)?

can you guys help me out with this???

thanks

sorry.....

what I meant was that when I put the car in (DRIVE) it would just sit there... even when I had my foot on the gas.....

but when I put the car in (REVERSE) it would go in reverse...

the milage on my 93' w201 is @ 140k
I had the transmission replaced when it was reading @ 120k miles...
