Need your Opinions on 95 Ver 97 S500C?
Hi Guys,
I just sold and then bought a 97 S500C,Has anyone else done similar? I was suprised that the 95 seemed more stable and quiter then the 97.By the way the 95 had 148K miles and the 97 has only 68K miles. The front end seems as if it needs shocks.(bouncy when looked from the hood angle).Just replaced rear air cells. The 95 was like watching a movie when you sat behind the wheel. This one is like a 911 porshe.Hold me,feel me,ETC!!!!!! Power is up.but it is harsher! Maybe I am the type that is never satisfied! Ah well,if anyone else has any thoughts that would be great. Waiting on Kumho's to replace the Dunlops! Thanks. Rafiqi. |

I been thinking about one and have test driven a few - similar experience - the most impressive one that I've driven was a 94. I'm not sure I can tell you why - I was just more comfortable in the 94 versus the 96/97s.

I've done a lot of research and looked at many S500 coupes before I bought mine last fall: 1995 with 41K miles. While searching I realized that it doesn't matter that much what year it is. It's all about the miles and the previous owner. If the previous owner took good care of the car then you should be safe buying it. The guy who drove my car before I got it took really good care of it, it was very clean.
But then couple of months pass and my friend tells me something that made me very sad!! He saw a 1999 CL500 with 50K miles go for sale at the auction for $29000. I WAS SO MAD!!!! |
