ETS -check engine ligt on 210
 

i got in my car on a rainy day to go to the gym. half way there on a stop light -the ets, abs, brake lining, and check engin light on. the speedomiter stopped working and the car wouldnt shift out of first. i pulled over and turned the car off. i waited a minuts and turned it on and the dash warning lights turned off. so i kept going, after a few miles it happened again so i pulled over and tryed re -start the car to make the lights on dash go away and nothing happened,so contin.on first gear to home.After 1 hour brake car runs o.k exept light :"check engine" My wheels never spin so I do not have a clue what going on.Computer glinch?Did thishappen to sameone else?This is 97 E300D with230k. Where to start? Thanks for any advise
