Appreciation for members on this site

I have used many a forum site but I have to say this is the best that I have ever used. Today I tried to post pic's of my car, to no avail. One of the members volunteered to take the photos and post them through his Yahoo account. I truly appreciate his efforts and those of the rest of you. My true and sincere thanks to Ted---W126.

Thanks to All,

Lou K

Sometimes the hardest part of posting a picture is resizing it to meet the 66,560 bytes (66.5kb) image size requirement.

Microsoft has a free download for Windows XP, the image resizer tool that works great.

Go to: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

and scroll down a bit and look for it on the right side of the page.

Download it and then install it by double-clicking on it.

To use it, find the image file you want to resize, right-mouse button on it and choose the size you want. Works well, but I believe will only work with Windows XP.

Another quick and dirty way to resize an image is to use MS Paint (any computer running ANY version of Windows has Paint.) Click on your "Start" button, select "Programs", then select "Accessories", then select "Paint". I like to right-click and drag the program to the desktop so it's easier to access next time.)

Open your image using Paint. At the top of the browser window, select the "Image" dropdown menu. Then select "Stretch/Skew", and adjust the "Stretch" attributes to a size below 100%. Save the altered file, (don't close Paint yet!) and check its properties to see how large it is. If it's still not small enough, then go back to Paint, make the image smaller, and resave it. Repeat process until the image is the desired size.

Come to think of it, I'm going to post this in it's own thread -- in case anyone needs the info.
