TPS adjustment on M116

It is a switch or sensor attached to the shaft of the throttle plate on my 89 420 SEL. I am replacing it while I have the engine tore down for new head gaskets. It appears to be designed for adjustment upon assembly and I need some help on how to achieve this. I see no way to adjust it after the engine is reassembled, it is deep down within the bowels of the engine valley, the valley of no return if you will. I did perform a search and found that it senses idle and throttle conditions, am I correct?

Meanwhile, I will return to my endless task of cleaning up my carboned heads & EGR tube, what a mess!!

senseless thread advancing

I still need a bit of help on this. I really don't think it has anything to do with the overload switch but for some reason that is the wording on the new one in the MBZ packaging. It has just three wires. Any ideas?

I believe it will be an "idle" contact and a "full throttle" contact. Double check the resistance on both legs of the switch, one at idle and the other at full throttle. One should be closed at idle(than open off idle) and the other should be closed at full throttle(open below full).
