190 300sl---engine start problem--1990

Need some advise.I left my car parked in the garage---1week--whille on travel.When I returned--the battery was dead--a neww battery.When I charged it---the abs light was on,thhe fuel milage indicator was ppeged--aand it was very hard to start.It seamed to be starved for fuel.It does start--only after cranking foor sometime.Any suggestions?
