EZ Q: 95 e320 - replacing front timing cover - do I need to pull the water pump?
Can you guys tell me if I will need to pull the water pump when pulling and resealing the front timing cover on my 95 E320?
I was planning on pulling it tomorrow - and have all the gaskets and 0 rings to do the job. But I never thought I'd need a water pump gasket. If you want to see photos - please look here: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1169597&posts=4&fid=11 http://www.benzworld.org/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1169597&posts=4&fid=11[/URL] I would greatly appreciate any guidance before I dive in. Thank you! 71Rcode |

Maybe you will be lucky and get it with just the cover, good luck: http://www.continentalimports.com/ser_ic100345.html

Steve - you are the MAN! You know, I've been reading your posts for several weeks now, and have that article printed out in my own E320 'binder'. Thanks, from all us us who reference it, for doing it.
My real question is this: when I pull the front cover, do I have to remove the water pump? I don't have the gaskets ready for that - and am going without a manual right now. Thanks man! |

Anyone? Can you help me?
Still need to know if I need to pull the water pump when I pull the front cover - sorry for the dumb question. But I'm working without a manual...(for now) Thanks.
