190 fuse box help needed

I just bought an 89 190E and was going through the usually checkout and noticed a blue and red wire coming up from the back of the fuse box. The blue one was connected to a terminal and the red one looked like it had been at one time. What are these wires and where is the red one supposed to hook up to???

Thanks.

I still need some help folks. Anyone with a schematic please take a look and tell me what fuse the red wire goes to.

Thanks

Don't suppose you can post pics?

This is the best shot I could get in the dark. Hope it is enough to help ID the wire.

Hmm, a little hard to see still, and for some reason it's lost all the colours - you should save it as a JPG not a GIF

But, the wire does not look standard, does your car have/had an aftermarket alarm or keyless entry? The connection with the blue end is not connected to anything, right?

I tried to save as JPG but it was too big. You got an email address I can email a JPG shot to you?

Sure, rw0584@REMOVEMEyahoo.co.uk

Use that address, but remove the 'REMOVEME' bit.

Send the largest one you have (might be good to get one in the daylight!)

I'll post the pic here after I resize it to a good size.
