Oops!!! There went the tranny!!!
Tranny finally went on the TE. My indy called me the other day with the bad news,,,, "Petey,,, it don't look good. There are all kinds of spring pieces, and other debris in the pan." Replacement is going to be around 3K,,, about the price of a used dirt bike. Oh well,,,, had no details on previous service, and the tech says it looks like it might have been abused in its' previous life. I just keep telling myself,,, it's cheaper than buying a new car.

Sorry to hear about your Tranny, big bummer... makes me want to bring my tranny in for service... Try German Ebay, they sell Transmissions Cheap.. that is if its the same part number..

Sorry to hear that. Out of curiosity, which vehicle was it on and how long did it last?
|
It is on the TE, with 94K and no history. Sigh,,,,,

Check with Jim at German Auto Parts. They sell remans at a decent price. Sounds like a return spring retainer on a pack broke. Seen it before and it is cheaper to pop in a reman under those conditions. Make sure you guy flushes the cooler and I'd replace the flex lines while I was there.
Joe or you could sell it to me inexpensively |
