Need Desperate Help!!!
ok i just got my car back. took it to the resturant sat down and ate. came back outside and tried to turn on my car and it wouldnt turn on... then i realized the connector to the battery wasnt tight enough so i tightened it up but then the dreaded ASR LIGHT COMES ON AND MY CAR CANT MOVE!!! this is the problem i have the ASR MIL lights when the car is started. Again the accelerator pedal does not respond (forced into the Limp home mode) as it does normally and the car is quite a chore to drive! it just slowly moves. i own a 1998 clk 320 can anyone help me in solving this problem and getting rid of this ASR!

First of all, it is highly unlikely this can be fixed without the help of a MB shop. There are several causes for this, and without a diagnostic scan you are wasting time trying to figure it out. Virtually any fault with the electronic accelerator will do what you describe. We need fault codes. You need to take it in, and get a diagnostic done on it. Could be anything from a bad sensor to CAN failure. Might just need the throttle stop relearned and dtc's cleared.
