W126 electric Steering column adjuster
 

Hi guys , I was driving down the road ,, having a play with the electric gizmos in the new toy ( '88 300 sel ) thinkin' this is cool ,, steering column out here for Mrs D ,, steering down here for me ,, cool ,, up ,, down ,, up ,, ,, ,, ,, errrk! .. no down .

Darn . I guess the old switch is a bit like the dreaded Lucas product , only works when you don't want it to.

So , is this a repairable item , or do I have to buy another $$$ switch from the dealer ?

There is power at the switch . It still goes up .. Just no down :(
Anyone had experience with this gizmo ?
