I have a 97 S320 and I need to find out how to remove the wood trim to install a new switch.

remove the plastic ashtray the part that holds the butts

remove screw securing wood trim to ashtray housing

remove two torx screw that join the console wood together
(horizontal screws, head in ashtray opening, threads in rear half of wood.)

pop up the rear half of wood (the part with the window switches)


(working from memory, I think this is correct)
