because i broke both of the two red-orange clips that hold the seat in place.
Does anyone know where i could get some replacements and how much they would cost? Also, anyone have any tips on getting the seats back in once i have the clips? thanks doug |
Those should be pretty cheap, new from mercedes. That is not a very commonly replaced part, so you may have to order it. The spring clips are supposed to be mounted in the bottom of the seat. To install the seat, you just set it in place and push down on it until you hear the little spring tab, "click". -Sheesh, I hope this makes sense.... It really is pretty simple.

From my experience, the hard part was getting the top/back edge of the seat back to engage all of the "hooks" at the same time. Having two people really helped. Once the top edge was engaged correctly, and the 3 small bolts installed, the seat bottom slid in pretty easily and "clicked" into place.
