190E Front Brakes.
The 190 E needs front brakes. (The girls are hard on equipment) (Description of the problem = "It sounds like it is Hungry")
Anyway, looks like I have the choice of: EBC pads and Brembo rotors from Tire Rack Or any combination of: (From Pelican/Driveworks) Rotors: ATE ATE Powerdisc Balo Pads: ATE MB Pagid Textar PBR Delux PBR Metal Master Quiet operation and decent life with OEM or better performace are the critera, low dust would be great as well. Any thoughts? |
Go with ANY pad BUT EBC.
I hear too many people having their rotors eaten-up by EBC. ;) Had PBR Metalmaster once, and experienced the same problem. |
I would use either the Balo or Brembo rotors for good OEM quality.
I personally always use Textar pads on the front and rear. They perform well, are quiet and smooth, and are messy. I do not think you would be happy with the EBC pads, although I have heard mixed opinions about them. |
I'm using ATE pad's with ATE power slots for over a year now. Not sure they are low dust but they seem to be very grippy and I am happy with them so far

well based on this, some replied on the porsche boards and some searching, I ordered Balo and Textar.
Hopefully they will serve well. |
PBR Deluxe are long lived, low dust, no squeal, and easy on the rotors, but require more pedal effort.
