My 83 240D has 188K miles, new engine. The original owner treated it well. Should I replace the rear springs?
I had a 150 pound load in rear trunk the other day and the car sat low. Otherwise she sits fine. No tire wear. Rides a little bumpy. Any comments on the shocks? |
Carrameow,
Unless your springs are seriously sagging, I wouldn't bother. The shocks, however, should be kept up. I drive so much I seem to get around to replacing the shockw when one starts wearing out and making noise. The car always feels better when I get around to it. It's tough to beat a set of Bilsteins all around.
