i have an 84 190e 2.3 8v and recently replaced my intake manifold gasket and fuel distributor assembly and now that i thought my car was okay, i have starting problems, i have to try at least twice to start my car everytime i need to drive once started, my rpm is at 15 when usually it is around 8-10...any help would be appreciated. i think i need to replace the starter soon but i dont know what might fix the high rpm idle...

High idle can be various things. IT can be open throttle switch, or bad fuel meter plate sensor Or a simple faulty idle valve.

I would also consider checking for vacuum leaks.
