Changing Belts 88 560sl

Hello all. The ac compressor belt on my 560sl snapped and the alternator belt is twisted. I want to replace both (have them) but damned if I can figure out what to do and how. Any advice is appreciated. No amount of detail is too small. Thanks!!!

I hope you already got your belt replaced by now. Could you please share your experience as how to remove the A/C belt. I stared at the job for 15 minutes but failed to figure it out.

How much did sdealer charge for the service, if you don't mind. After some googling, I think I need to find a tensioner first and loose it. Well, it will be a weekend job.

Thanks.

I need to replace the alternator belt on a 560SL. Can't seem to break loose what appears to be idler roll belt tensioner. Can anyone walk me through the steps to get to the alternator belt?

Thanks

I have located the A/C Idler Pulley. However, I could not figure out how to adjust the tension on it, it has only one arm and one bolt. I don't want to take it out w/o first knowing how to put it back.

For those who have done this, please share your experience with me. Also, do I have to drop the compressor to replace those four o rings? It seems possible that I could remove the P/S belt and gain access the back two allen screws. Have any one done this before?
